FAQ
I collaborate with a wide range of clients, from early-stage startups to established brands and enterprise teams. Sumsar Studio takes on branding and web projects for companies in B2B, technology, recruitment, sports, media, AI, education, SaaS, health and sustainability. I also partner with agencies and in-house teams who need design or development support on a specific project. Most engagements combine several disciplines - strategy, identity, UX/UI and web development - rather than one isolated deliverable.
Every Sumsar Studio project is quoted as a flat fee based on scope. What it costs depends on engagement length, complexity and deliverables. Standard projects combining design and development typically starts from 50,000 DKK and take 4-12 weeks to complete. Smaller pieces of work, such as a single landing page or a conversion-focused redesign of a single flow can be priced lower. I scope and quote every project after an initial conversation, so we agree on the budget before any work begins.
I value speed, direct access and focused collaboration in everything I do. Most Sumsar Studio projects run 4-12 weeks from kickoff to launch, including the strategy and structuring phase. A focused piece of work – e.g. a landing page, a UX review, a single flow – takes from a few days to a 1-2 weeks. Because I carry the project from strategy through design to build myself, no time is lost re-briefing anyone between phases.
Every Sumsar Studio project opens with a scoping conversation about goals, audience and what success looks like commercially. I then design the full site in Figma - set up close to one-to-one with the final product, so you can click through it before anything is built - and record video walkthroughs explaining the reasoning behind each decision. Once you approve the design, I build it, structure the CMS, and hand over a site your team can run themselves.
Great design should move the needle. That’s the standard I set for every project. Spektr had raised €5M to make complex compliance processes simple and automated. After Sumsar Studio designed and built their new website, they closed a $20M Series A. Spejl Blank's conversion rate increased +8% after I redesigned their booking flow and landing page, with online booking growing to more than 70% of total revenue. Leagues.gg raised a 1.5M DKK pre-seed and grew revenue more than 200% year on year following their platform redesign.
With Sumsar Studio you work directly with me - the person doing both the thinking and the work. No account manager, no junior handover, no briefing chain. Decisions get made inside the conversation rather than three days later. When a project genuinely needs more hands, I bring in specialists I have worked with before, rather than staffing it from whoever happens to be free that month.
It means the thinking happens before the design. Every Sumsar Studio project starts by defining who the site is for, what it has to achieve commercially, and how the content should be structured to get there - before I draw a single screen. In practice it often means challenging the brief: several clients have arrived asking for a full redesign and left with a smaller, sharper scope that solved the actual problem.
Both. Sumsar Studio designs brand identities - positioning, strategy, logo, typography, color systems and the guidelines that hold them together - alongside websites. Many clients start with a rebrand and continue straight into a new site, so I design the identity and the website as one system rather than two disconnected projects.
Sumsar Studio designs in Figma and builds primarily in Webflow, where I am a Certified Partner. I also build in Astro with Sanity CMS when a project calls for a more custom, developer-owned setup. Webflow is my default because it produces production-grade code, keeps the live site close to one-to-one with the design, and lets you update your own content without a developer. Where a project needs a different stack entirely, I deliver the design as a production-ready handover to your own developers or bring in a trusted specialist.
Yes - that is a large part of what Sumsar Studio does. I regularly embed with in-house product, marketing and development teams, co-designing in Figma, extending an existing design system, or owning one defined part of a larger programme. At Electricity Maps I worked alongside the product team for over a year, co-designing and prototyping both the website and the product interface.
Sumsar Studio is based in Copenhagen, working with ambitious teams all around the world. Most of my clients are based in Denmark, but I regularly work with international companies too. E.g. Epilog, a Silicon Valley AI company, brought me in for an 8-month partnership covering messaging strategy, visual identity, creative direction, and website design. During that time, the company raised more than $2M through crowdfunding.
Projects run asynchronously through Figma, recorded video walkthroughs, and shared documentation, with live calls when they genuinely add value, so time zones rarely get in the way.
Every Sumsar Studio site is handed over with the CMS structured so your own team can add pages and update content without a developer. After launch I usually continue on an ongoing partnership - scoped projects, an hourly rate, or a monthly retainer, whichever fits how you work. Staying flexible on that is one of the practical advantages of working with an independent partner rather than an agency.
